Saw the Glenn Ligon exhibition at LACMA with hydeordie. It was amazing as expected. I’m just going to pretend that Notes on the Margin of the Black Book was made for me.
Also saw Five Card Stud by Ed Kienholz… I am not sure if I’m glad I did. It’s been a while since a work has brought me to tears like that. I wasn’t prepared for how immersive it was… The dirt floor beneath my feet and people walking in front of the car headlights. I want to read somebody smart talk about how the victim’s torso is a pool of water with the letters forming the n word floating inside.
After that hydeordie and I went to the Japanese pavillion and looked at a bunch of miniatures to calm ourselves. That building is awesome. It’s like a future museum. All plastic and undulating.
Anyway. I’m jealous that LA gets to have outdoor stuff year round. The LACMA campus is great. It’s a park and a museum!

It was really an incredible experience. I’m not sure I’m ready to talk about the Keinholz yet either. I’ll probably try and write more about it later, when I have more distance from the Keinholz and the Ligon pieces.](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxii73hSUH1qz5stvo1_400.gif)
