Newton and Helen Mayer Harrison Hog Pasture: Survival Piece 1970
I saw Ends of the Earth at MOCA yesterday. Overall the show is beautiful and confusing and sparse but simultaneously very full. It’s very smart and subtle and I find that to be a very interesting (and probably difficult) thing to achieve when dealing with land art which is so often heavy, frank and tactile.
I got a few new names of artists that I wasn’t familiar with to check out, which is always my favorite.
