Charles Ray, Hinoki.
The product of this collaboration, ten years in the making, is a replication of a decaying log done in fresh, unfinished hinoki cypress. The marks of the tools and evidence of the dovetails that join sections of the sculpture enliven its pastel surface.
This was at Regen Projects, which reminds me why I love that space so much.
