Can you imagine? How I wish I was at the Guggenheim when this was up.
Side note: talk about the most romantic title ever. Am I right?

Dan Flavin the nominal three (to William of Ockham) 1963
David Zwirner is having the first exhibition of Flavin’s since it was announced that he would be representing the Estate.
It opens on November 5th and runs through the 23rd of December which is plenty of time to go see it. If you don’t, you obviously have a problem in your brain and should seek medical help immediately. I don’t want to alarm you, but it is probably serious and possibly terminal.

Dan Flavin Untitled 1973
It’s been a while since I have posted my true love. My self-restraint is impressive!
I was actually twittering with Rebecca Taylor (major LA art lady) about how I had to miss his retrospective at LACMA 2 years back because of a certain job I had…Bummer. She understood though. So you should understand as well.

X is a new non-profit initiative in NYC that will be around for just one year so if you are around you better get good before the gettin’s gone.

It is located at 548 West 22nd Street and will officially be open on March 7th so mark your calendars and check the website for awesome events and then email me about them and make fun of me b/c I am in LA and we don’t have awesome stuff like this going on over here.
Going to take a shower and make myself presentable (for the first time during my sojourn to Houston) and then off to the Menil Collection. A little Rothko, Flavin, and Twombly to pick up any rainy/dreary day. Especially Flavin! I apologize for any graininess in my cell phone pictures that are to follow!
Update: Ok, I didn’t get to take as many pictures as I liked because a#1. you aren’t allowed to take pictures and the security guards were giving me the evil eye and b#2. It started raining like crazy so we had to leave. I am hoping tomorrow we are going to try again if the weather allows.
