    Longing…

Just saw some dude staring longingly into one of those blue post boxes with a netflix in his hands.  He looked so torn, so indecisive.  I almost told him to take the movie home and just watch it again, he can always mail it tomorrow, but he dropped it in and slowly trudged off.

Yesterday, when I got home from Palm Springs, I had this waiting in my mailbox! I couldn’t have been happier.  I was all strung out from too much sun and exhausted from driving/heat/gas prices, and I sat down and watched it.  I almost (but not really) forgot how amazing this movie was is! David Bowie, Jennifer Connoly, Goblins!? What more could you ask for?
*If for any minute you are wondering, “what should I rent/add to my netflix queue?” add this.

» MoMA Presents The Bourne Trilogy of Thrillers as Part of Inaugural World Science Festival

The three Bourne films have breathed fresh life into the thriller genre and were box office and critical successes upon their release, creating a new anti-hero in Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. All three films share core themes of memory, personality, and identity—not to mention some remarkable action sequences. The films also utilize novel developments in sound design to convey non-visual information, with The Bourne Ultimatum winning three Oscars, including Best Achievement in Sound and Best Achievement in Sound Editing.

This movie was discussed last night.  I need to purchase it. I mean James Spader? Come on!

So I saw it last night.  I am not going to give anything away. Did I love it? No. Am I happy I saw it? Yes. Did I get there 45 minutes early and was the theater already half-full? Yes.  Did everyone leaving the theater all say the same thing? Pretty sure.

    Why I love Blockbuster:
Totally watched an illegal copy of Ironman for like 30 minutes at Blockbuster last night. AWESOME! I asked the guy how he got it he just said “don’t worry about it”.
