Tim Hawkinson Drip
It’s really funny to know that today Dana and I both were looking at the same pictures on the Blum and Poe website.

Tim Hawkinson Shrink
This is made by taking little sections of the original chair and stringing them through points on thread attached to the place the section was taken. Can you imagine?
Tim Hawkinson talking about his massive installation piece, UBERORGAN.

Tim Hawkinson Clock Series 2005
The little twistie tie and the metal closure are actually clock hands. Coolest clocks ever.

Tim Hawkinson Point, 2009
A lot of his work doesn’t translate into pictures very well* because there is an uncapturable tactile quality, but you have to admire this piece. It is made of eggshells. I love that he can work at any scale, a couple centimeters, like above, or entire museums a la Überorgan.
*Tim, it’s time that you show in Los Angeles again, pretty pretty please. I feel like I can qualify this as cruel and unusual punishment, Hawkinson withdrawal, or something. I’ll figure it out.

Tim Hawkinson Skinned Knee 2009
This is at Pace right now. Whatever. Go see it or don’t. I don’t want to talk about it.
I’m not pissed that he’s not represented in Los Angeles anymore I SWEAR.

Tim Hawkinson Laocoon 2004
This is the blowout of a monster-truck tire made out of paper, wire, string, and foam rubber. And people wonder why I have such a thing for Tim Hawkinson all the time.
