I like huge balloon sculptures, but my favorite at the Tate has to go to Paul McCarthy.

I don’t necessarily vibe with all of Koons’ work but some of his balloon pieces really strike a chord. Especially in the context of where they are installed.

Art crush of the day: Paul McCarthy Blockhead 2003
I had the pleasure of seeing this while it was up at the Tate. It was pretty incredible. It is always funny when I see a piece of art and don’t know who the artist is but really like it. Then I find out later it’s actually one of my favorite artists and I am happy about my taste consistency.
